LOCATION: PLUTONIC GOLD MINE

Wilshaw were engaged to provide the engineering design for the 134 Pump Station at Plutonic Gold Mine. The pump station was fed by a dirty water dam which included primary and secondary concrete dam walls. The dam walls both incorporated cast-in nozzles that were fitted with manual valves for flow control. The dam arrangement also included a suspended walkway between the dam walls. The pump station consisted of two “Weartuff” WT086 pumps. Wilshaw completed the structural design for the dam walls, pump plinths, suspended walkway and overhead monorail for pump maintenance.
