The Underground 1850 Pump Station at the Chirano Gold Mine consisted of five “WearTuff” WT106 progressive cavity pumps with two staging tanks complete with run down screens. Wilshaw was contracted to provide the engineering design of the pumping system which was inclusive of all the electrical, mechanical, piping and structural requirements associated with a pump station. In addition, Wilshaw provided the civil design for the pump bases at the underground pumping facility.
