Vent fan upgrade for Northern Goldfields mine delivers huge savings
Mine ventilation specialists BBE Consulting engaged Wilshaw to design, certify, supply and install upgraded primary vent fans for an underground mine in the Northern Goldfields, as part of the mine development.
Wilshaw designed, certified, supplied and installed the original bulkhead walls and vent fans in 2020.
On behalf of BBE Consulting, engaged by Minetek, Wilshaw re-designed the original bulkhead walls to accommodate the new fans without having to knock down and re-build the bulkhead walls.
This saved the client thousands of dollars in design, fabrication and installations costs.
We also delivered the project on time, on budget and without incident.

Using client-specified ventilation equipment, we design vent fan surface infrastructure, including customised ducting, plenums and associated civil works. Similarly, for underground installations, we design and deliver custom bulkhead vent walls and vent fan supports to suit individual site requirements.
