Mines throughout Australia and overseas are progressively becoming deeper making shafts more attractive with regard to material handling and mine access. The ongoing requirement for mine ventilation has meant that vent rises must also be developed to greater depths. In addition, materials handling and mine backfill systems can have ore and waste passes incorporated into the design.
