Are you our new junior structural engineer?
We're looking for a motivated, collaborative structural engineer, with up to two years' experience in a structural engineering role, to join our team.
If you have mining processing and plant experience, even better - though not essential.
Our ideal candidate will:
Provide a high-quality engineering contribution to enhance the reputation of the company and support the organisational goal of continuous improvement
Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and Australian and International standards as appropriate
Provide structural engineering design for new plant and processes, and/or modifications to mining processing plant and systems
Ensure all design projects are completed by required deadlines and budget or within lump sum constraints
Keep up to date with new materials and technologies
Design cost-effective equipment modifications on client projects to improve safety
Ensure products can be made reliably and will perform consistently in specified operating environments
Consider cost, safety, quality and time constraints
Provide technical support to manufacturers, subcontractors, site and client personnel as appropriate
Work collaboratively with other engineers and external manufacturers to solve complex problems
Ensure technical queries from manufacturing contractors and installation contractors are responded to in a timely manner
Prepare cost, time and resource estimates for engineering projects
Prepare and deliver engineering presentations both internally and externally as required
Use research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly those in mathematical modelling and computer-aided design
Forge strong working relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers and the Wilshaw team

Ability to demonstrate a high level of team work and motivated to work autonomously as required
Demonstrated ability to build sound and effective working relationships with clients, contractors and colleagues
Strong commitment to ensuring the proper implementation of client, company policies and procedures with particular regard to quality assurance and safety.
Genuine interest in the ideas of other employees and a willingness to cooperate with all members of the team to maintain a harmonious and collaborative working environment
