Wilshaw mechanical engineer wins Curtin University thesis prize
Congratulations to our graduate mechanical engineer, Griffin Polglaze, for receiving the 2020 Lycopodium Prize – awarded to Curtin University’s top performing mechanical engineering student undertaking their honours thesis.
His thesis, Droplet Modelling on Curved Surfaces in Fog Harvesting, aims to improve the understanding of factors that affect the dropwise condensation process. The main objective of the study was to improve the water collection efficiency of fog capturing systems in an effort to produce more water for regions with limited water sources.
